I’m not saying it’s a good thing mate, I’m saying it really isn’t worth all the outrage over it.

It’s nothing new, and it really has no impact on the game or club. He’s just a bloke on social media who shares info he gets which happens to be about a club he supports.

Maybe he likes the attention, maybe it’s a bit of self promotion - he’s certainly done some very valuable charity work through that account and if that’s the way he generates followers as a means of raising more money for the less fortunate who’s to judge?

The point being EVERYONE who has a problem with it can just not follow him on Twitter, there are certainly bigger problems to concern ourselves with when it comes to West Ham.

There was a poster on here who gave out the team long before Ex ever started doing it. Infact the whole releasing team news early originated on this site.

On top of all this a twitter account passing on ‘insider info’ is not even 1% of the problems the club is facing.

Re: ExWHUemployee
No Alex, the point is that by the time Saturday rolls round each club has a pretty good idea of how the opposition is likely to play - they probably have a decent idea of the starting XI and the players who could potentially come off the bench and what they could bring to the game.

The teams have to be submitted 75 minutes before kick off, with only a doctor certified injury enabling a change from that point onwards.

I’ve never seen the ‘predicted line ups’ before 13:30 but even if it was 13:15 or 13:00 each team has it routines - the players are warming up and there’s a lot going on, I don’t believe for one second any clubs are looking for it but if they were I’m not sure it will affect any preparations or team selections on the day. Not at this level.

>>> They have performance analysts who pour over hours of videos of opposition film to pull together a report for their manager and the team to prepare accordingly.

Isn't that the point? There are whole departments these days looking at oppositions and trying to exploit any weaknesses. Those are based on educated guesses of how the team will line up. But this is early info that literally tells them - no guessing required.

It's incredibly naive to believe this couldn't be used by the opposition. Nobody can be sure that it won't. On that basis leaking team news simply shouldn't happen.

Give over.

You seriously think professional football teams are looking for this stuff on Twitter and then changing their tactics half hour before a game?

They have performance analysts who pour over hours of videos of opposition film to pull together a report for their manager and the team to prepare accordingly.

I highly doubt clubs are waiting until the day to pick their first XI, and here’s the kicker, both clubs have to submit their teams to officials by the same deadline - which I believe is 13:30 for a 15:00 kick off, they’re only released at 14:00.

Right. So a bloke who regularly gets inside info (team selection) and puts it up on the WWW 15-30 minutes before its officially announced or given to the match officials where any fucker can see it and those who can use it (the opposition) to their advantage can and will do so (opposition changing their team to suit OR reinforce their tactics) are to be ignored or overlooked? Should West Ham let the oppo's coaching team into Rush Green as it's nothing to be concerned about?

Grown men unhappy that another grown man passes on info that he gets on a social media platform in which said grown men have the option not to follow said grown man.

Maybe it’s the way footballs going, maybe it’s a symptom of social media but let’s get it right - it’s doesn’t even measure on the problem Richter scale of the disaster of our club at the moment.

I don’t think anyone doubts he is a legit “ITK” it’s just his leaks about the team don’t benifit the club whatsoever. All it does is give himself a pat on the back.

I understand people like to hear transfer news or whatever, but leaking the team sheet is a wanky thing to do.

He’s doing what a lot of people on here already do and will continue to do and profess to knowing what’s happening at the club.

He is pretty spot on most of the time but I also understand people dislike him as he comes across as a ‘arsehole’ who gets a massive kick himself out of people massaging his ego.

Re: ExWHUemployee
There seem to be a myriad of comments below along the lines of "He's whats wrong with our club" and "He makes us look like idiots etc". Whilst I agree that most of his antics are toe curlingly cringey and un-self-aware, I disagree with the view that he brings shame to the club. I guess that they may sound like confusing, contradictory viewpoints, but let me explain.

ExWHUemployee is, in my opinion, the symptom rather than the disease. A creature born into the social media age where likes and subscribers matter more than style and content. He is 'of his age', and he is very much one of a growing tribe who proliferate every club, at every level. If you get rid of him, there will undoubtedly be another one to step up and twat his tweets on twitter. Just take a walk around The London Stadium on match day. You'll hear conversations of successful dribbles completed, pass completion rates, and FIFA speed stats where once there were "I don't trust him, he just looks like a lazy cunt" and "For the money he's on he wants to look a bit fucking interested" etc.

ExWHUemployee is another manifestation of the move of football away from the likes of the traditional football supporter (or WHO-er), of which I consider myself to be one. He's The London Stadium to my Boleyn Ground. He the EPL to my Division 1. He's a player on the fringe of the first team demanding 20k a week to my Apprentice cleaning Devonshires boots. He's a cunt, but he's the future, and its only going to get worse.
